Aaliyah was a well-known R&B singer after the album's release. She was also as a character in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, saw her during a awards ceremony and offered her this part. The year 2002 was the time she was part of the Anne Rice-based movie about horror Queen of the Damned. She is also known as Aarti Magumdar. Her acting career began in the mid 2000's, with a few roles on TV and films. In addition, she has appeared on Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy as well as Grey's Anatomy. The actress also appeared in a variety of commercials, including Volvo and many other major car brands. Her home is within Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and continues to pursue her acting career.
