Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz, born within Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors and editors. Ryder's father is from a Jewish family Ryder feels she's Jewish. The actress is the sister to Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. The time Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved to Mendocino County California. They didn't have electricity. Ryder was a voracious reading book because there was no TV. Ryder began to study acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. She landed her debut role on the large screen in 1986 at the age of 15 aged. Ryder was bullied in high school. The hope was that the acting profession would alter her life. It didn't work out. Still she continued pursuing her dream. Ryder made her breakthrough with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder continued to play successful roles in a variety of films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her role on The Age of Innocence (1993).
